NUTR 422 - Nutrition Counseling
Introduction of individual and group-based counseling skills for aiding change in eating habits, including assessment for intervention development, and evaluation to determine intervention effectiveness. Course aims to help students begin to cultivate a professional perspective in dealing with professional ethics as applied to the field of dietetics.
KNS 414 - Fitness Testing and Exercise Prescription
Relationship of exercise to cardio-respiratory function, body composition, strength and flexibility. Measurement and evaluation of fitness in normal populations.
PUBH 311 - Advanced First Aid and Emergency Care
Theory and practice of first aid and emergency care. Provides essential information for developing functional first aid capabilities of lay persons. Course leads to advanced first aid and emergency care certification. Applicant must be at least 18 years old for certification.

Relationship of community food and nutrition problems to programs and services for families and communities with particular attention to disease prevention and public policy.
NUTR 416 - Clinical Nutrition II
Pathophysiological basis and nutritional assessment and intervention in acute disease and other critical care conditions.
NUTR 420 - Interpreting Current Nutrition Research
Scientific method, study design, data interpretation, and critical evaluation of current nutrition literature.
NUTR 423 - Nutrition Counseling Application
Skill development in dietary data collection and analysis, interviewing and counseling techniques through application of these skills within a classroom setting.
