Employer Biography

Kim Pryor received her B.S. in the College of Home Economics from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville in 1984.  She then went on to obtain her M.S. in College of Health Sciences at Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA in 1987.  She worked as a Clinical Dietitian from 1984-1988 and from 1988 to 1991 she was the Assistant Director of Patient Services for Aramark at Chesapeake General Hospital in Chesapeake, VA where she managed clinical nutrition and patient food service for a 200 bed community hospital.  In 1991 she became Clinical Nutrition Manager for the Sinai Medical Center in Baltimore, MD and then she once again held a position as a Assistant Director Patient Services for Aramark at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center from 1991-1995.  As a Nutritionist for the Onslow County Health Department in Jacksonville, NC in 1996, she provided risk assessment and nutrition intervention for the prenatal clinic and conducted cardiac nutrition intervention for patients involved in a multi-center research project for the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.  From 1996-1997 she worked as Chief Clinical Dietitian for Sinai Samaritan Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI.  While in Milwaukee she became the Food Service Supervisor for Aurora Healthcare at the Sinai Samaritan Medical Center.  From 1999-present she is the Clinical Nutrition Manager of Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, TN where she manages clinical nutrition services and patient services for a 547 licensed bed acute care facility.  Kim has been honored with multiple awards such as Tennessee Dietetic Association 2007 Outstanding Dietitian Award, Knoxville District Dietetic Association 2007 Outstanding Dietitian Award, 2007 Morrison Clinical Excellence Award, and Georgia Dietetic Association 1987 Recognized Young Dietitian Award.

Jennifer Nichols received her B.S. in Nutrition at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2008.  While attending school at UT, she worked on a tray line at Hillcrest part-time for about a year in 2007.  She also worked full-time for 4 years at Baptist Hospital West while attending school from 2004-2008.  When she first graduated in 2008, she obtained a job at U.S. Foodservice in Alcoa, TN in Healthcare Sales.  After applying through the Fort Sanders Regional website for a Nutrition Supervisor position, the former Director of Foodservice, Peter Lanois, recognized all of her qualifications in foodservice and healthcare so she was offered the position of Patient Services Manager at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, TN in April 2009 where she has been working ever since.
